Questions,
answered.
Do I need Paddle Billing to use Paddle Retain?
No. Paddle sells Retain on its own for Stripe, Chargebee, Zuora, Recurly and Braintree. Off Paddle Billing, its docs say cancel flows are set up with Paddle’s team, and the cancellation itself stays in your billing system for you to build.
Does SaaSFunnels retry failed payments?
No. Stripe’s own retries and dunning emails keep running. SaaSFunnels adds the Failed-payment recovery Funnel, which asks for a new card inside your app before access lapses, and confirms the recovered revenue with Stripe.
How do the results compare?
Paddle Retain compares your recovery rate with the 3 months before it went live, and counts customers who saw its emails or notices. SaaSFunnels can hold back a group that sees no Funnel at the same time, so you see what each Funnel added.
How is pricing different?
Retain is included with Paddle Billing, which charges 5% + 50¢ per checkout transaction; the standalone version is priced on request. SaaSFunnels prices by events a month: Builder is $0 plus 3% of Funnel revenue, and paid plans start at $97 a month with no fee.
Can I run both?
Yes. Keep Retain’s payment recovery running and add SaaSFunnels for sign-up, onboarding, trial conversion and upgrades. For cancellations, move one segment to the Cancellation or save Funnel at a time and compare what each saves.
